Easter

Easter was fun. I cooked and cooked and cooked for 18 people. I was actually pretty good about what i ate. I followed my diet with two exceptions. I had a small homeamde roll (without butter) and a small sugar cookie(homemade). I thought for sure that i would have gained weight but luckily stayed the same.
Kids enjoyed an outside egg hunt and digging for arrowheads on the hill-they found 2.
It was great to see my kids all together again.
Loved the day.

Weight-
EEKKKKK!!!! I have not lost anymore wieght. I think i might be the first medi fast failure in history. I have been good about not cheating (except Easter).
A bit discouraged at this pint but I am not going to give up.
I met with Shannon and she told me to keep following the program and to do something to relieve the stress once a day for at least 20 minutes. I knew that stress contributed to weight but I thought it was becasue of the extra eating or type of eating it induced. Come to find out stress causes your body to release chemicals in your body that can slow down weight loss. (Just my, lowsy luck!! Know I am under more stress....lol

I have a weigh-in in 2 days. I will let y'all know if i make any progress.

I added my beautious before picture today. I totally do not look the way I feel..I feel younger and at least a little smaller-but can't fight the photo. Time to suck it up and get on with the journey.
Ok- one week of major adjustment and the weigh in was worth it. I lost 3 pounds. I was hoping for 5 but 3 is still great. The weigh in was Monday. I have another half week under my belt. It is becoming easier.

Really wanted some garlic bread from pie in the sky today. My will power was strong and I did not give in (pat on the back to myself

I think that i will introduce exercise in pretty soon-WII fit plus-no gym or anything-too expensive.

My challenge is drinking at least 64 ounces of water in a day.

The good thing is that because i need to drink so much water, i am drinking a lot less soda.

After 10 days of more water and less soda, i can feel a difference. No major crash in the afternoon. : )

My first goal for clothing is to slide into my jeans instead of wiggle into them, and zip them up without stretching them out a little first. Admit it-you all do it tooo. LOL..just kidding.

Also found that picturing myself the way i want to look helps when the temptations creep up.

Happy to have anyone join me. : )

Introduction

INTRODUCTION:
The reason that I am undertaking this project is to share my journey from where I am now to where I want to be. Like many other women I have spent so much of my life being a mom amd making decisions around my family that I have lost myself. My children are older now (12,15,20,22). I now find myself wicked over weight, doing a job that I do not particularly enjoy (Real Estate Appraiser) and wondering where the joy in my life is.

My joy in life has been getting my kids from infancy to adulthood. Although, my two girls are grown and in college or on thier own, I still have a freshman in high school and a 5th grader at home. I can see that it will not be long before they are on their own as well. So, I am going to give myself permission to find joy, health and wealth in my life.

I have found that I need to loose 50 pounds. Find a job that I LOVE, and find a way to bring some serious money into the family making financial pressure a memory of the past and energy, fun and the fulfillment of dreams the thing of today and tomorrow.

I welcome you to join me as I go from over weight, frumpy and melancholy to healthy, stylish and full of happiness and joy.

The first week I will be intorducing you to some very powerful women who are a large part of my journey. They belong to a group that I began called Women Concerning Business. Women Concerning Business is a group of women working together to support each other while sharing in the ups and downs of our businesses as well as doing some community service along the way.

I have joined ACN (All communications Network) (ACNINC.COM) which is a networking business. The potential to have residual income as well as monthly bonus income by finding some customers whom use land lines, cell phones, internet, Dish TV, Direct TV, home security (ADT), electricity and natural gas while I build my team are what attracted me to ACN.

So, stay tuned for week one. See my beautiful before picture(OMG-I am so embarrased) and meet Shannon Harvey and Megan Daigle thru my utube link.
